Long time no talk, internet. Every time I’ve sat down to write blog posts throughout the past few months and I’ve ended up staring blankly at my screen. The truth is that I wasn’t in the right state of mind to be writing about mental health while mine was out of control. My junior year did not turn out the way I expected it to. I spent most of the year an anxious, depressed mess when I thought I would be studying abroad and having the time of my life. Things don’t always work out in the way you plan, but at the end of the day, I believe that everything happens for a reason.
You have survived all of your worst days. You are where you are for a reason, and things will get better. You are here. You are alive.
Next week I’ll be moving into my first off-campus apartment in Massachusetts, going back to work, and starting my internship. I have been trying to make positive changes in my life and I can already see the difference they are making. I hope that my new environment and lifestyle choices will be more conducive for writing blog posts because I have a ton of ideas. Stay tuned internet, I’m coming back!
