I’ll admit it, I have never been a fan of corduroy. Something about the texture has turned me off since I was a child. Then, I found this skirt. I don’t know if it was the color or style that caught my eye but I was immediately sold. This piece of clothing alone has converted me to a corduroy enthusiast.
The skirt was only $19.99 from Target (aka where I get 90% of my clothing)! I tried to find the link to include here but I unfortunately couldn’t find it on their website. It is a stunning mauve color that is perfect for all year round and especially for fall. It is usually hard for me to find skirts that fit properly due to my waist size. Luckily, the smallest size in this one was only slightly too large on me! With a shirt tucked in, it fits perfectly.
My long-sleeved black shirt is from TJ-Maxx (where the other 10% of my clothing is from) and was only $10. I purchased my black Unisa booties from DSW last year and they are a staple piece in my wardrobe. The inner parts of the shoes have tons of wear because of the way I walk. I always manage to slam the insides of my feet together! This wouldn’t be a Lauren outfit if my bag wasn’t from Kate Spade. I purchased it from the outlets over the summer for about $150.
My liquid lipstick makes this outfit suitable for fall. It is the Too Faced Melted Matte Long Wear Lipstick in Suck It. I normally stray away from dark colors but I love the way this one suits me. It doesn’t make me look even paler than I already am!
For this post, I decided to go to my favorite spot at UMass to take the photos — my sophomore year dorm. Butterfield Hall is the smallest dorm on campus and is located at the very top of a hill. Despite the steep, sweat-inducing walk to get to my room everyday, my fondest memories from college were made in Butterfield.
I know this outfit is going to become one of my go-to’s. It reminds me of one of my roommates, Meghan, because she always rocks cute skirts like mine! What is your favorite outfit for fall?
